    ABSTRACT

This research critically examines the profound and multifaceted relationship between poverty and education in India. Despite constitutional guarantees such as the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009, and a plethora of welfare schemes aimed at improving educational access, a large segment of the population—particularly children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds—continues to struggle with limited access to quality education. The paper investigates how poverty negatively impacts school enrollment, attendance, retention, and learning outcomes. It highlights how associated factors such as child labour, gender inequality, infrastructural deficiencies, and digital divides exacerbate the educational challenges faced by the poor. The study also analyses government policies, schemes, and non-governmental initiatives intended to mitigate these effects. Drawing from primary data, recent surveys, and case studies, the research identifies systemic gaps and proposes targeted policy recommendations, including increased budgetary allocations, conditional cash transfers, and improved accountability mechanisms, to create a more equitable and inclusive educational landscape in India.

    Abstract

This paper delves into the complex dynamics of cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&As) between India and the United States. By comparing the regulatory frameworks, economic landscapes, and strategic motivations underpinning these transactions, the study offers a nuanced understanding of their trends and patterns. India’s rapid economic growth, cost efficiencies, and skilled workforce attract U.S. firms seeking operational advantages and market access, while Indian firms pursue U.S. acquisitions to gain advanced technologies, brand equity, and global market presence. Case studies, such as Tata Motors’ acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover and Walmart’s purchase of Flipkart, highlight the transformative potential of these transactions. However, challenges such as cultural integration, regulatory compliance, and market competition highlight the complexity of cross-border M&As. The findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and corporate leaders aiming to navigate and capitalise on these high-stakes business opportunities.

    I. Introduction

Over the past few years, there have many significant advancements in the field of technology. Many big innovations have taken place. If seen in the legal field, Online Dispute Resolution is the biggest innovation. This system has helped in making it possible for people from anywhere to resolve disputes without being physically present in the court.

Traditional courts hold a huge overburden of cases, while the ODR system helps in reducing this burden and provides a faster and cost friendly way to resolve disputes. The utilization of technology in the legal field is supported by two acts namely: the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and the Information Technology Act 2000. In recent times the use of Artificial Intelligence has been noted in the field of law for resolving disputes which makes the process more efficient.

    Abstract

The global decline in biodiversity has necessitated both national and international efforts to conserve and sustainably manage biological resources. In this context, national legislation such as the Biodiversity Act (with reference to India’s Biological Diversity Act, 2002) plays a critical role in fulfilling a country’s commitments under various international treaties. This article examines the key provisions of the Biodiversity Act, evaluates its alignment with international conventions such as the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), and explores its effectiveness in promoting conservation, sustainable use, and equitable benefit-sharing. The article also highlights areas where national legislation could be strengthened to better fulfill international environmental obligations.

    Abstract

Freedom of speech and expression is the cornerstone of any democratic society. In India, this fundamental right is enshrined in Article 19(1)(a)[1] of the Constitution and serves as a key element in the functioning of democratic governance. However, the unchecked spread of fake news, particularly through digital and social media platforms, poses significant threats to democratic values, including electoral integrity, public discourse, and social harmony. This paper explores the constitutional foundation of free speech in India, the rise and implications of fake news, judicial responses, and the necessary balance between freedom and regulation in a digital democracy.

    Abstract

The processes of dismissal and retrenchment play a crucial role in shaping employer-employee relations, particularly in maintaining a balance between managerial discretion and worker protection. This paper examines the legal framework governing dismissal and retrenchment under Indian labour law, with a focus on the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.  It analysis statutory provisions, judicial interpretations, and constitutional safeguards that regulate termination procedures and provide remedies to affected workers. The paper also highlights the growing challenges posed by informal employment, contractualisation, and the gig economy, which often operate outside traditional legal protections. Through a critical assessment of case law and international standards, particularly those of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the study underscores the need for legal reform and better enforcement to ensure fair treatment, procedural justice, and socio-economic security for workers in a rapidly evolving labour market.
